About Me
Hi, my name is Carolann Voltarel and I’m a costume addict. As a child I always loved dressing up and playing make believe. I started sewing at the age of 12 but it was mostly doll clothing. It wasn’t until 2001, when I attended my first convention, that I was introduced to the world of cosplay. Later that year I made my first costume and I was hooked.
I love making costumes, I love the art of it, seeing a 2-dimensional drawing come to life is truly a great feeling. I would love to do this for a living and at the moment I’m trying to get into costuming for films. So far I’ve done work on 2 student films and 1 independent film. I’m also going to school at IADT Orlando for Fashion Design and Marketing.

- Best group t Megacon’s costume contest 2003 (one of three costumes entered in a group)
- First Place at Fitcon’s SciFi 2003 costume contest
- Best Individual at Anime Express 2003
- Honorable Mention Masters Catagory at AFO 2003
- First Place in the MvsC2 Contest at Megacon 2004
- Best Live action at AWA 2004
- Viz’s best of Inu Yasha costume contest (two awards, on in the US and one in Japan) 2004
- Honorable Mention in the Dragoncon Hall Costume Contest 2004
- Best of Show at FX show 2005
- Best Anime at Jacon 2005 (one of three costumes entered in a group)
- Worked on The Legend of Eden as a Costume Designer (student film)
