Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black PearlConstruction Notes
Construction notes: I kinda started making this on a whim... and then it just kinda grew from there.The main Fabric I had bought at warehouse sale. One day I was watching Potc and realized how similar the fabric was to Elizabeth's dress so I decided to make it. It wasn't long after this that I found out that she would appear in this same dress in Kingdom Hearts 2.
The front was hand embroidered and beaded. the top is fully lined and boned. The skirt is 2 full layers. The trim has hand sewn bows that I had to die to get the right color. The hat I ordered on-line and added the lace and bow embellishments. The coin is the official Disney coin.
The hair is mine teased up with extensions forming the curls for the photos with the hat, the hair in the "Kingdom Hearts 2" hair down photos is a wig.
Thoughts
I Really love how this costume turned out. I'm rather proud of the construction on it. I like that this is usable in both POTC version (with the hat and fancy hair and petticoats) and the Kingdom Hearts version with hair down.Photo Credits
